State: New Jersey’s solar systems are exempt from state sales tax.

You may also sign up to trade the “SRECs” or “Renewable Energy Credits that your system generates. For each 1000kWh (1MWh) of electricity your system generates, you get an SREC issued andd it can be sold or traded separately from the power.

NJ has HUGE rebates for solar incentives, including $3.50 per watt capacity of the system on most residential systems.
