We are launching in Los Angeles!
On the 19th of February, we will be hosting an informational session on solar power for folks in Los Angeles who are interested in signing up for the program, or for getting involved with 1BOG in their own communities.
It is from 7pm to 9pm at GOOD Magazine on Melrose Avenue between Highland and La Brea.
The event will serve as:
- A mixer for Los Angeles people interested in activism and in renewable energy
- The launch of the 1 Block Off The Grid solar campaign in Los Angeles
- An informational session about solar power
- A call to action for people who are interested in activism, community empowerment, and the renewable energy movement, so they can start immediately to organize their neighborhoods.
You can RSVP to the event on Facebook
We are excited to bring our 1 Block Off the Grid down to Los Angeles, and make the region a leader in lowering energy consumption, supporting local business, and reducing our environmental impact. Our success in San Francisco was due both to an incredible outpouring of support from local politicians, community organizers, and members of the press, and to the enthusiasm of a community who is committed to making itself sustainable, both economically and environmentally.
We provide an affordable, trustworthy alternative to the solar installation programs that currently exist, and we will succeed in Los Angeles if you spread the word with your friends, in your schools, at work, and amongst your neighbors
Bring your friends to the 19th, and email us if you have any questions.
See you next week!
