As part of our trip to New Orleans, Dave and I toured solar installations in New Orleans, including the one above which is part of Brad Pitt’s Make It Right project. Pretty sweet to see solar being included in rebuilding projects.
We also checked out these homes being built by Global Green. I used to live in New Orleans so it’s great to see recovery progress and the new homes that have been built since I left to move back to SF and work for One Block Off the Grid. Hopefully once we pick an installer, you’ll start seeing solar all over town. They might not be as crazy and trendy as these homes, but the systems will be saving people money while reducing energy consumption. Our goal is to triple the number of solar intallations in New Orleans. Dave and I can’t wait to go back and visit and see 1BOG solar systems take over the city.
