One Block Off the Grid is bringing our rockin’ group solar discounts to Cleveland next week! We’ve heard that Cleveland ROCKS (it is, after all, home to the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame). We’ve also heard that solar power rocks. In our minds, more solar in Cleveland would be about as epic as, say, a Rolling Stones concert on the surface of the sun. Film that, MTV.
Here’s an interesting statistic: if we could cover the entire square mileage of Cleveland (77.6 square miles) with solar panels, we could create enough electricity to power 40% of the electric demand for the ENTIRE state of Ohio (40,953 square miles). We at One Block Off the Grid aren’t really looking to cover every last square inch of Cleveland with solar (it would be nice, but also kind of hard to figure out where to stick all of those panels). We are looking to spread solar enthusiasm and greater solar adoption in all corners of the Cleve. We want to make this amped up city even more charged – solar-charged, that is.
Look for our announcement next week about the group discount available in Cleveland. If you live in Cleveland and go solar with One Block Off the Grid, you might just start calling your home “The House of the Rising Sun”, or maybe “The House that’s Hedging Against Rising Electricity Rates and Making a Smart Investment with the Sun”. The first one is a bit catchier. Mick Jagger would probably agree. The point is that your house is cooler, like Rolling Stones cooler, with solar.
