Long Island’s Current Block of Solar Rebates Burning Up Fast

by Shannon, posted on September 7th, 2010.

Long Islanders, get on your solar game! The latest block of solar rebates from LIPA is being burned up fast and the September allocation is expected run out before the end of the month. If you wait, you won’t be able to apply for the new, lower rebate until October 1, but if you apply right now, you can still get $1.75 per watt (which will cover more than 50% of the cost of going solar) so get on it! To get started, first sign up for One Block Off the Grid to get access to the group discount on solar (free). We’ll do a quick evaluation of your roof over the phone and if you’re interested in moving forward, we’ll get you set up with a free home evaluation and help you navigate all the rebate stuff too. Here’s some more info on how the financials work on going solar in Long Island, but again, the rebate part of this is expected to drop within a matter of weeks, so sign up for One Block Off the Grid today and we can try to help you get in under the wire.
