Canvassers Making an Impact by Andrew

One of our primary purposes at One Block Off the Grid (1BOG) is to lead solar into the mainstream.  This would be a difficult task were it not for our hard-at-work field team!

At any given moment, there are numerous boots on the ground paying house visits and spreading knowledge of the community purchasing opportunities at 1BOG.  Canvassers’ purpose is to reach out to neighborhoods and bring community members together, allowing them to use their collective buying power to make solar affordable.

Our featured canvasser of the week is Angel Stork.  Angel comes to us with a background in construction, teaching, and spiritual health.  She lives in Sebastopol and is eager to bring positive change to her community.

During her field team work, Angel describes her approach as follows:
“I am an avid promoter of things I believe in, I smile while I talk, and I readily thrust out my hand when I meet people so we can make friendly contact… Enthusiasm that’s not over the top is contagious. It is my favorite energy level anyway, and I love talking to people and getting to know my neighbors.”

Her efforts have resulted in rapid growth of solar interest in her region.  Thanks to canvassers like Angel, greater communities are touched by the ideas of One Block Off the Grid, and more people benefit from cheaper and reliable solar power.
